Video conference in a large meeting room
Designing an audiovisual solution for a small space is one thing, but equipping a large meeting room so that the technology reliably serves 15 to 20 people requires experience and precise engineering. We recently completed a project for HILTI, where we transformed an empty room into a fully integrated communication hub built on the Yealink ecosystem.
The Challenge: A Comprehensive Meeting Room Design
The client had no existing technology in the room. Our task was not only to deliver hardware, but to design an entire system that was:
- Simple to operate (no complex manuals required).
- Acoustically balanced (so that even a person at the far end of a 6-meter table can be heard clearly).
- Visually clean (minimal cables and a professional appearance).
The Heart of the Room: Yealink Solution for Large Spaces
For this project, we selected a robust setup specifically certified for demanding conference environments.
High-end video conferencing set with PTZ camera
The core of the system is a professional motorized PTZ camera. Unlike standard webcams, this model can optically zoom in on the speaker without any loss of image quality. Combined with a powerful audio bar and a touch controller, we ensured that virtual meetings are almost indistinguishable from in-person ones.
Yealink MTouch & Room Scheduling Panel: Perfect Overview
- MTouch panel: Placed directly on the table, it serves as a central control point for starting a call with a single touch. Users don’t need to configure anything on their laptop.
- Room scheduling panel: Installed outside the meeting room entrance. It allows everyone in the hallway to instantly see whether the meeting room is available or when the current meeting will end. No more knocking on doors or unnecessary interruptions!
Wireless presentation with Yealink PA20
Forget HDMI cables that are always too short or have the wrong connector. With the PA20 module, employees can share content from their laptop to the large display completely wirelessly and instantly.
Crystal-clear audio with Yealink VCM35
In large rooms, sound is the biggest challenge. That’s why we expanded the system with the Yealink VCM35 microphone. It provides 360-degree coverage and, thanks to advanced noise suppression technology, eliminates keyboard typing and air-conditioning noise.
Professional Display: Samsung Business TV (UHD)
In a large meeting room, the display becomes the focal point of attention. Instead of a standard consumer TV, we selected a professional large-format panel from Samsung.
- Why a professional solution? Unlike regular TVs, these displays feature a matte surface that eliminates distracting reflections from windows and lighting, and are designed for 16/7 operation.
- Visual comfort: Thanks to 4K resolution, even small Excel tables or presentation text remain perfectly legible for everyone in the room, regardless of seating position.

This project for Hilti was not just about purchasing equipment. Our work included:
- Acoustic and visual planning: Proper placement of the camera and microphones to ensure optimal coverage.
- Hidden installation: All cabling was integrated into the furniture and walls, giving the room a clean, high-end appearance.
