As part of a project for the university dean’s office, we delivered a comprehensive AV solution for a new meeting room, with a strong emphasis on clean design, outstanding audio and video quality, and maximum ease of use.
CHALLENGE: A REPRESENTATIVE SPACE WITHOUT VISUAL CLUTTER
The objective was to create a modern, prestigious meeting room for university management, designed to support presentations, thesis defenses, hybrid online meetings, and official board discussions. The project placed a strong emphasis on reliable technology, intuitive operation, and a minimalist aesthetic.
A key requirement was the concept of a “clean desk” environment, free of visible cabling and equipment, with all AV components fully integrated into the space. The solution was therefore built around a completely unobtrusive design approach—no cables or technology visible on the table, with the entire AV infrastructure concealed within the ceiling and the room’s architectural elements. The result is an elegant meeting space where technology seamlessly supports collaboration without visual distractions, allowing participants to focus entirely on the content of their discussions.
Ceiling-Integrated Audio Technology
The room is equipped with two Shure MXA920 ceiling microphone arrays. These professional ceiling-mounted microphones provide precise, natural, and consistent voice capture throughout the meeting room, eliminating the need for tabletop microphones while ensuring excellent speech intelligibility for both in-room and remote participants.
Equipson WORK ceiling speakers deliver uniform, high-quality sound coverage across the entire space. Discreetly integrated into the ceiling, they provide clear audio reinforcement without compromising the room’s clean and elegant design.
Speaker-Tracking Camera System
A Yealink PTZ Camera provides professional-grade video conferencing with pan, tilt, and zoom capabilities. The camera automatically tracks and frames active speakers, creating a natural and engaging experience for hybrid meetings while ensuring that remote participants always have a clear view of the discussion.
Touch Control Panel and Wireless Presentation
The Yealink Touch Control Panel provides simple and intuitive control of the entire meeting room. Through its user-friendly touchscreen interface, participants can start and manage video calls, control camera functions, and operate presentation features with ease.
The Yealink Wireless Presentation System enables fast and effortless content sharing from laptops and mobile devices without the need for cables. This wireless presentation capability enhances user convenience and ensures a smooth, efficient presentation experience during meetings and collaborative sessions.
Motorized Projection Screen and Projector
The AV Stumpfl Motorized Projection Screen provides a professional projection solution with discreet integration into the room’s architecture. When not in use, the screen remains hidden from view, preserving the clean aesthetic of the space, while delivering a perfectly flat and high-quality projection surface for presentations and video content.
The Epson Projector delivers bright, sharp, and reliable image projection, making it well suited for professional presentations, academic defenses, and meetings, even in well-lit conference environments. Its high image quality ensures that all content is displayed clearly and effectively for both in-room and remote participants.
