Excellent speech intelligibility
The Shure MXA925 is a professional ceiling-mounted beamforming microphone that uses up to 113 MEMS microphone elements. Together, they create a precise beamforming array that automatically tracks speakers in the room and ensures maximum speech intelligibility.
All of the technology is concealed in the ceiling, resulting in a cleaner meeting room design and greater comfort during use.
The microphone can:
- track speakers,
- suppress ambient noise,
- minimise crosstalk,
- enhance the human voice.
This significantly improves the quality of video conferences, training sessions and automated meeting transcriptions.
How Automatic Coverage™ works
The most significant innovation in the MXA925 is Automatic Coverage™ technology. Previous generations required individual microphone zones to be configured manually. The MXA925 makes this process considerably easier.
After installation, you only need to define the area in which participants will move. The microphone then automatically detects speakers, dynamically creates directional microphone beams, follows people as they move and ignores sounds outside the defined area. The default coverage area is approximately 9 × 9 metres, and up to 8 separate coverage zones can be created according to the room’s requirements. This means users do not need to reconfigure microphones whenever the meeting room layout changes.
