Timeless transformation
HOW THE READING ROOM OF THE FARMACEUTICAL FACULTY OF THE COMENIUS UNIVERSITY IN BRATISLAVA BECAME ONE OF THE MOST MODERN MULTIMEDIA ROOMS IN SLOVAKIA
Our company had the opportunity to put its hand to the work and participate in the reconstruction of the reading room of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Comenius University. It was there where we implemented the most modern audiovisual technologies which created a symbiosis of perfect harmony of clear sound and sharp image.

“The system concept was designed according to the specific requirements of the Faculty for the given area with an emphasis on the latest technologies to be used, long-term system reliability, quality and ease of use. Together, we have turned the reading room into a multimedia room, which allows not only to use the latest audio and visual technologies for presentations of participants in the multimedia room, but also to connect online with the world, create and share knowledge and experience with anyone anywhere in the world. At the same time, we implemented a magnetic loop for the hearing impaired into the space, which places the new space of the Faculty of Pharmacy among the world standards for organizing meetings and conferences. “
CONTROL OF TECHNOLOGIES THROUGH TOUCH PANEL
The entire multimedia room operates in a fully automatic mode and is controlled from a touch panel located on the speaker’s desk. It has icons showing the operating mode requirements. To give you an idea: e.g. after pressing the “Slideshow” icon, the built-in presentation screen is automatically extended, the powerful laser projector is switched on and the room sound system is activated in the presentation mode.
Audio-technica’s microphones (wired on the chair and wireless portable for speakers and audiences) are automatically mixed with a digital mixing console to ensure the most accurate, clear and intelligible sound transmission.
In the “Videoconferencing” mode, the overall settings of the audiovisual system are automatically changed, two-way voice and video communication is activated via the built-in Atlona digital camera with the possibility of motorized recording.
UNIQUE INSTALLATION OF THE MAGNETIC LOOP
Furthermore, a magnetic loop for the hearing impaired was applied in the space.
This is now a common standard and the multimedia room of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Commenius University is the first of the faculties in Slovakia to have this innovative technology.
Thanks to the magnetic loop built into the floor, which emits an audio signal from the system in the conference room using the principle of induction, even deaf participants can perceive sound without background noise and hear the incoming sound clearly.
